Mumbai, Sept 21: Sudha Chandran was born to Telugu parents in Mumbai. He is the only child of his parents. As she grew, she became interested in dance and culture. When his father realized his enthusiasm for dancing, he decided at an early age to enroll him in a dance institute. She started dancing at the age of 3 and made her first stage appearance at the age of 8! Apart from her training, she also studied dance and by the age of 16 was already a rising star in the dance world with 75 stage appearances! Sudha is also an outstanding student in academics. But dancing has always been his first love. Tragedy hidden in blessings: Sudha Chandran sets foot in Jaipur Just four months before her 16th birthday, she had an accident while on a bus trip in Tamil Nadu. The accident broke his right leg with multiple injuries. Due to the sudden influx of critical patients at that time, a team of medical students visited him. They couldn't see the wound on his right lower leg. They just wrapped their legs in POP casts. This led to gangrene, and specialists had no choice but to cut his right leg 7.5 inches below the knee to prevent the infection from spreading. Sudha is overwhelmed. The incident crushed her hopes of making a name for herself in the dance world. There was nothing he could do. She is surrounded by negative thoughts - depression, anger, frustration. But she didn't give up. She continues her passion for dancing with the help of artificial limbs called Jaipur Foot or Jaipur Foot. It took her four months to go with them in person. After learning to walk well with a prosthesis, she started dancing. That's difficult. She had to relearn every step of the way. Sometimes her feet bleed. However, she continued. The True Test of Courage: This is the beginning of Sudha Chandran's inspiring story. Of course, the court was depressed because it felt unable to carry out its duties normally. However, physiotherapy and regular exercise gave her enough security to be able to dance again. Now she's ready to tell the whole world that an amputated leg can't stop her from realizing his dream. She is scheduled to give a live performance on the St. School stage. Xavier in Mumbai on January 28, 1984. All the major daily newspapers praised their stage performance. Before the show, she was a little nervous about the huge crowd waiting for her. The group includes several high-profile media and film officials, including Ramoji Rao, owner of the film town of Ramoji Rao in Hyderabad. She noticed that the audience was waiting for the same old page. The moment he landed on the stage, she ignored his feet and did a great job of earning a standing ovation. Everyone, including her own father, was very enthusiastic about her performance. The show changed her life, it received high praise from the Indian and international media. She has received invitations to participate in various countries of the world. Ramoji Rao decided to influence Telugu films in her life and offered her the lead role. The film, Mayuri (1985), was a box office hit and won the state government award for best feature film. It was later dubbed in Malayalam and Tamil and even rewritten as Naache Mayuri (1986) in Hindi. Sudha is currently an established actress. She has starred in various films in different languages such as Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam, Telugu, Gujarati and Kannada. Counting long TV series with a simple bunch of dance reality shows serving as judges. This inspiring story about Sudha Chandran is a step up for those in such circumstances. Despite his acting duties, the court's enthusiasm for dancing is still there. She currently runs a dance school called Sudha Chandran Dance Academy. There are several offices in Mumbai and Pune. Her husband is the official director of these schools and she teaches there every Sunday.
