Koraput, August 9: The Odisha government will disburse the third installment of the ‘Subhadra’ scheme to one crore women beneficiaries on the occasion of Raksha Bandhan, today. Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi will formally launch the distribution from Kotia in Koraput district, with Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida also scheduled to attend the event.
A total of ₹5,000 crore will be transferred directly to the beneficiaries’ bank accounts as part of this installment. The Chief Minister will also oversee the distribution of funds in a special event at Jaypur.
In Kotia, where 2,078 women have applied under the scheme, 1,800 have already received two installments. Approximately 240 women are set to receive a one-time payment of ₹15,000, covering all three installments.
