Bhubaneswar, Dec 22: The Nandankanan Zoological Park which remains closed on every Monday; will remain open for next two Mondays as the Christmas and New Year fall on Mondays this time.
Hoping for a large footfall on the two important days, adequate preparations have been made in the zoo. The visitors can book the entry ticket through online or WhatsApp which will help them to spend more time inside the zoo instead of standing in a queue for a ticket. Meanwhile, there will be some temporary ticket counters to reduce the rush in permanent ticket counters.
The fire department along with the medical team will be on alert for the safety of the tourists. In view of pickpockets and riots, a platoon of police will be deployed.
Worth mentioning, the Zoo will remain closed on December 26 and January 2, both fall on Tuesdays instead of Mondays, informed the Zoo authorities.
