Silver cladding of 3 entry doors of Puri Jagannath Temple soon

Puri, May 6: Three doors of the Sri Jagannath Temple, Puri would be reconstructed and given a silver coating. The Shree Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA) will hold a meeting in this regard on May 8 in its office.
The north door of Srimandir (Elephant Door), west door (Tiger Door) and south door (Horse Door) will be given silver coating. The silver coating of Singhadwara (Lion Gate), the main entrance of the temple, was completed before the Bahuda Yatra of the Trinity last year.
As many as 10 doors of the Srimandir, including Singhadwar, have got silver cladding and three new doors will get silver cladding, said an official of the temple administration.
Singhadwara, Satapahacha, Jaya Bijaya Dwara, Beherana Dwara, Kalahata, Bhoga Mandap, Adi Nrusingha Temple, Bimala Temple, Laxmi Temple and Sun Temple doors have got silver coating so far as per ancient Utkalika architecture.
The temple administration has taken the decision inview of abundant silver donation by devotees.
