Koraput, July 21: The Odisha government on Sunday accorded full state honour to Padma Shri Kamala Pujari during her last rites, performed at Patraputa village in Koraput districts.
The Padma Awardee was cremated with traditional rituals at the graveyard of the village in the presence of district administration officials, police and prominent dignitaries from the locality.
Padma Shree Pujari was an uncommon woman to preserve of extinct and indigenous species of paddy, on her own efforts.
Worth mentioning, Pujari passed away on Saturday while she was undergoing treatment in the SCB Medical College & Hospital at Cuttack, for her renal-related ailments.
