Bonai, Aug 6: Panic gripped the residents of Bonai locality in Odisha after a herd of elephants strayed into the locality in the early hours of Tuesday.
According to reports, a herd of elephants was spotted moving in the premises of the Baneswara temple of Sundargarh town. The animals are said to have strayed from the nearby forest in the district.
The Forest officials launched an operation and efforts on to drive away the tusker. However, no damage was caused due to the infiltration of the wild animals.
