Bhubaneswar, June 30: Administrative probe into the tragic stampede that took place during the Rath Yatra in Puri and claimed three visitor’s lives, will conclude within a month said Odisha Development Commissioner Anu Garg on Monday.
The administrative investigation ordered in this connection will be completed within the scheduled time and its report will be submitted to the government, said Garg to reporters.
As immediate action following the incident, the Odisha government on Sunday replaced the Puri district Collector and the Superintendent of Police (SP).
In addition, two police officers, on duty were suspended within no time, for their alleged negligence.
On the other hand, Aravind Agrawal, former District Collector Puri and Former Puri SP(now ADGP) S Priyadarshi were assigned to oversee the arrangements and discipline during the remaining Rath Yatra rituals.
