Bhubaneswar, Oct 18: A number of MoUs were signed today between ORMAS and institutions of Indian Institution of Packaging, Mumbai, National Innovation Foundation, Gandhinagar, CIMAP, Lucknow, Phytobiox Manufactures, Bhubaneswar.
These MoU signing mark a crucial milestone in the partnership between ORMAS and the institutions, as it outlines a framework for collaboration in various areas of mutual interest. Among the key objectives of this strategic alliance are capacity Building of the rural producers, socio economic development, grassroot innovations, growth, and amplified opportunities and marketing avenues in the upcoming Rural Industrial Park Complexes.
Purpose of the MoUs
IIP, Mumbai: Facilitating and organizing Capacity Building and customized Training programs on Packaging Technology to the rural FPOs/Producer Enterprises/Producer Collectives with an aim to high value and export markets.
NIF, Gandhinagar: Enabling better technological interventions and machinery for community institutions by ORMAS through incubators. The major interventions would be in agri- horti produces like Siali and Banana Fibre.
CIMAP, Lucknow: Facilitating technological solution to improve the efficiency of production and value. addition of Lemongrass and other aromatic and medicinal plants undertaken by FPOs/Producer Enterprises/Rural Industrial Parks/Producer collectives groomed by ORMAS.
Phytobiox Manufactures, Bhubaneswar: Facilitate knowledge partnership and buy back role with an objective, to ensure appropriate economic returns to the rural and tribal producers involved in the cultivation of medicinal & aromatic plant of Odisha groomed by ORMAS.
