Odisha: House Surgeons in Govt Medical Colleges get more stipend

Bhubaneswar, August 30: The Odisha Government has decided to hike the stipend of the House Surgeons of Government Medical Colleges of the state. 

As per the Health and Family Welfare (H&FW) Department circular, House Surgeons in the government medical colleges are presently receiving a stipend as per Letter No-2744/H dated January 29, 2021, of the department. The State government has decided to implement a dynamic stipend in favour of the House Surgeons @ 50% of the current remuneration paid to Assistant Surgeons under OMHS cadre on their entry into Govt service+DA as admissible, the H&FW circular added.

The H&FW communiqué further stated that the revision in the stipend wouldl come into force with immediate effect.
