Bhubaneswar, June 11: The Odisha government has canceled leave for all its employees until June 30.
This decision comes in light of the new government assuming power from June 12.
According to an official letter issued by Surendra Kumar, the additional chief secretary of the General Administration and Public Grievances department, the swearing-in ceremony of the new Council of Ministers is scheduled for June 12.
Given the anticipated activities at different levels of the government during this transition, it is essential for all government officials to remain available in their respective headquarters to address any urgent assignments that may arise in the coming days.
Therefore, no government official will be allowed to take leave or permission to leave their headquarters, except on health grounds, until the end of June.
This measure ensures efficient functioning during this critical period of change in leadership.
The BJP, having secured a majority of seats in the recent Assembly elections, will form the government in Odisha for the first time, ending the BJD’s continuous rule of 24 years
