Bodies of two engineers recovered in Kathajodi

Cuttack, May 19: In a tragic incident, the bodies of two young engineers from Maharashtra have been recovered from the Kathajodi River in Cuttack.

The body of Rushikesh Matal, one of the two engineers who drowned, was recovered yesterday. Following an intensive search and rescue operation by the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), the second body was recovered today.  The two engineers were bathing in the river when they slipped and fell into a deep pit near a stone pillar around 3:30 p.m. on Sunday. Emergency teams were immediately deployed, and NDRF divers had been scouring the river since the incident was reported.

 

According to preliminary information, both individuals were engineers by profession and originally hailed from Maharashtra. The CDA Phase II police have launched an investigation into the matter.
