Bhubaneswar: Odisha CM resumes public grievances at new complaint cell

Bhubaneswar, May 19: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Majhi has inaugurated a new grievance redressal cell near Capital Nursery in Unit-2, Bhubaneswar, where he resumed public grievance hearings in person. The new location is designed to accommodate up to 1,000 people through an online registration.

Earlier, the citizens eager to voice their concerns directly to the Chief Minister have already registered via the state government's official grievance portal janasunani.odisha.gov.in or the Janasunani mobile app. Those registered have been arriving at the new complaint cell with acknowledgment slips, identity proof, and their written grievances.

The General Administration Department has made comprehensive arrangements to ensure smooth operations. In addition to the CM, various departmental ministers and secretaries are present in the grievance hearings.

This marks the 10th edition of the Chief Minister’s public grievance hearing initiative, but for the first time, it is being held at this newly established location near Capital Nursery. Previously, such hearings were conducted in other parts of the state, including Sambalpur. The Chief Minister has expressed his aim to visit various districts across Odisha to hear and resolve people’s complaints firsthand.

Due to the high temperatures, it has been decided to conduct the sessions during morning hours. The new facility is equipped with ACs, coolers, fans, drinking water, and proper sanitation to provide comfort for the attendees.

So far, the initiative has received a positive response from the public, with many expressing trust in the process as several complaints have already been resolved.
