Khordha, May 22: Mystery shrouded over the death of a young couple, who had been missing since the last 10 days, after their decomposed bodies were found under a bridge in Begunia locality of Odisha’s Khordha district today.
While the man has been identified as a native of Botalama village in Atharanga panchayat, the woman hailed from Lathipada village under Hirapur panchayat in the district.
As per reports, some locals spotted the decomposed bodies of the couple lying under a bridge at Atharanga village under Begunia police limits and alerted the police.
Upon getting the information, police arrived at the spot and seized the bodies. Subsequently, they were sent for post-mortem.
Though the exact reason behind the death of the couple is yet to be ascertained, both their family members have alleged that they have been murdered.
Sources said that that the deceased woman’s parents had filed a missing complaint with Begunia police a few days back.
A probe has been initiated into the matter and a manhunt has been launched to trace the culprits involved, said the police.
