Koraput, Mar 29: In a gory incident, a man allegedly stabbed his father-in-law to death reportedly over a family feud in Narayanapatna locality of Odisha’s Koraput district last night.
The deceased has been identified as Ramachandra Uluka and the incident has been reported from Basnaput village under Narayanapatna police limits in the.
As per reports, the accused identified as Shatu Praska went to meet his wife who was staying with her parents as she was pregnant last night. After arriving at his in-laws house, Shatu found that his wife was admitted to a local medical center after going into labour.
Thereafter, he got angered and asked his father-in-law why he had admitted his wife to the health center without asking him. This led to a heated argument between the duo. It later took a violent turn when Shatu, in a fit of rage, seized a knife and stabbed his father-in-law repeatedly.
As a result, Ramchandra sustained critical injuries and was rushed to a nearby hospital where he succumbed to his injuries during treatment.
On getting the information, police arrived in the village and launched a probe into the matter.
