Kotia, July 12: Odisha admin on Saturday foiled an Andhra Pradesh sponsored Mobile Health checkup program in Kotia, Koraput.
With the Pottangi Tehsildar’s intervention, the mobile health Checkup van was sent back to Andhra Pradesh.
According to reports, a health team from Andhra Pradesh entered Kotia panchayat and began conducting a medical camp in Paniki and Ganjeipadar villages. The team had gathered local residents and started medical examinations as part of a health awareness drive.
Upon receiving the information, Pottangi Tehsildar accompanied by some officials rushed to the spot and asked the Andhra health officials to leave the place, citing local issues.
Accordingly, the helath checkup van left for Andhra Pradesh, halting its programe in the mid way.
