Puri, Aug 12: In an unfortunate incident, a woman was killed and seven others were critically injured in lightning strike in Chhaitana Bhoi Sahi in Odisha’s Puri district this morning.
The deceased has been identified as Kunti Bhoi of Bhuan village under Balighai police limits in the district.
The incident occurred while they all were engaged in agricultural work. They were rushed to Puri district Headquarter’s Hospital in Puri where Kunti succumbed while undergoing treatment.
Worth mentioning, Two days ago, two persons were killed and three others injured in a lightning strike in Balasore district. The incident took place Raipitambar village under Soro police limits while they were working in paddy fields. They were rushed to Soro Community Health Centre where two persons breathed last.
