Vigilance caught him red handed at his government quarter inside Binjharpur old police station while demanding and accepting bribe of Rs 5,000 from a Complainant

Bhubaneswar, July 3: Odisha Vigilance on Wednesday apprehended a Sub inspector (SI) of Police for demanding and accepting bribe from a complainant.

The accused SI has been identified as Keshab Chandra Dash, SI of Police of Binjharpur Police Station in Odisha’s Jajpur district.

Vigilance caught him red handed at his government quarter inside Binjharpur old police station while demanding and accepting bribe of Rs 5,000 from a Complainant to provide him Post Mortem report and help him get accidental claim for death of his father in an accident on 20.05.2024.

The entire bribe money has been recovered from the exclusive possession Dash and seized.

Following the successful trap, simultaneous searches are going on at three locations of Dash from DA angle.
