Karanjia, Mar 2: Dol Mahamilan festival was celebrated in Karanjia, Mayurbhanj, with great enthusiasm. Starting from the day of Phagu Dashami, devotees participated in the tradition of visiting houses in the village, offering bhog and playing Holi.

For three days, people engaged in the custom of sharing food and playing Holi at various locations across the town. This tradition in Karanjia is more than a century old and has been a cherished part of the community's cultural fabric. Karanjia saw an influx of devotees for the festival.

Devotees from various blocks, including Raruan, Jashipur, Thakurmunda, and Sukruli, gathered in Karanjia, playing Holi with other devotees and celebrating the divine union. The festival attracted people from across the state and beyond, who gathered to witness the grand celebration of Lord Krishna's union with his devotees.

In light of the large gatherings and public safety concerns, Karanjia SDPO ensured heightened security measures, with police forces deployed throughout the city to maintain order and oversee the festivities.
