Bhubaneswar , March 11: Following the mock wedding between the Biju Janata Dal (BJD) and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Odisha, the Congress party has now organized an ‘Annaprasana’ ceremony for their metaphorical ‘children’ in Bhubaneswar. 

This satirical event, was held today,   that aims to highlight the alleged corruptions resulting from the union of the two political parties.

The ‘children’ of the BJD and BJP are emblematic of various issues plaguing the state. The issues are chit fund scam, mining scam,inflation, crime against Women, exploitation by middlemen, irregularities in government schemes, acquisition of tribal land, power issues, sale of Government Jobs and undue favors to contractors.

Congress, through this symbolic ritual, aims to expose the alleged nexus between the BJD and BJP. By portraying these ‘children,’ they shed light on the changing political landscape, where the two parties extend support to each other while avoiding major controversies through covert associations.

Congress’ Odisha in-charge, Ajoy Kumar, minced no words in his criticism. He accused the BJD of receiving mining money through electoral bonds and vowed to raise awareness among the people about these ten corruptions. It seems that after the BJP-BJD mock marriage, a whole new generation of political issues has born.

Notably, Congress had previously organized a mock wedding between BJD and BJP in Bhubaneswar and some other places of Odisha exposing their tacit understanding.
