Cuttack, Oct 19: The sailing expedition at Chilka lake by NCC Group HQ, Cuttack under Odisha Directorate was flagged off at INS Chilka by Executive Officer INS Chilka Commander Sanjeev Tomar in presence of Officer in Charge Sailing Expedition, Commander Piyush Pratim Das and Safety Officer Commander Sunil Kumar Behera.
The Sailing Expedition consisting of 60 cadets (35 SD cadets and 25 SW cadets) of 3 (O) Naval Unit NCC, Cuttack group will sail for 10 days covering a distance of more than 210 km.
These cadets will also be involved in conduct of various social service activities during the expedition. The expedition is aimed at inculcating discipline, confidence and a spirit of adventure amongst the cadets.
