Bhubaneswar, Dec 10: Tension prevailed at Baramunda playground after public tried to forcefully enter the ground to witness Odisha Concours D’Elegance vintage car exhibition.
As per reports, a huge number of people have gathered at the venue to witness the exhibition. However, they alleged that the organizers did not allow people without valid passes to enter the venue.
The irate mob resorted to a heated argument with the organizers and the police personnel as well. Later the mob also vandalized a few hoardings erected at the venue. They also tried to forcefully enter the venue.
The exhibition was inaugurated on Saturday by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik. An impressive showcase of 52 vintage and classic cars hailing from seven states is currently being exhibited, thanks to a collaborative effort with Odisha Tourism. The expo highlights a remarkable assortment of historic vehicles, featuring renowned brands such as Benz Motorwagen, Rolls-Royce, Ford, Jaguar, Bugatti, British Classics, and Mk V.
Attendees have the opportunity to admire vehicles that span various decades, with notable examples dating back to 1886, 1929, 1932, and 1934. Sourced from cities like Kolkata, Delhi, and Chennai, the event promises to take enthusiasts on a nostalgic journey through the rich tapestry of automotive history, celebrating the timeless elegance of these iconic automobiles.
