Bhubaneswar, Jan 12:Police on Thursday arrested an astrologer for allegedly duping a woman and attepmting to rape her on pretext of solving her issues.
The accused astrologer has been idenified as Nilambar Pani.
According to the reports, Pani claimed to be an atrologer, used to post videos on social media and target women. The victim met Pani on Facebook and shared her problems with him. The accused assured her to solve her prolems by doing some rituals. Later, he charged lakhs of rupees from the woman as his consulation fee.
Though he could not solve her issues, he allegedly tried to rape her while doing a ritual.
Based on the complaint lodged by the woman, commissionerate police strted investigation and arrested the astrologer from Bhadrak.
