Bhubaneswar, Apr 7: Owing to the intense heat wave conditions prevailing across the state, the school timings have been adjusted in five districts of Odisha.
As per reports, the school timings in Nabarangpur, Kandhamal, Jajpur, Angul, and Sundergarh districts have been revised and will now be conducted from 6:30 am to 10:00 am at all government, government aided, and privately managed schools.
The Collectors of these districts have issued directives regarding the revised schedule in their respective regions.
It is worth mentioning that the state government had earlier announced that the classes for students from Class I to Class XII in all schools in Odisha will be held from 7 am to 11.30 am from April 2.
However, the School and Mass Education Department had authorized the district Collectors to modify the school timing on the basis of the weather situation.
