Bhubaneswar, June 4: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) was leading in 17 Lok Sabha seats and 33 Assembly seats as the counting of votes continues amid tight security.
As per the early trends, the ruling Biju Janata Dal (BJD) was leading in 18 Assembly seats and one Lok Sabha seats.
In Sambalpur, BJP candidate Dharmendra Pradhan was leading with 20,116 votes against BJD’s Pranab Prakash Das who has bagged 15,119 votes.
Similarly, BJP’s Aparajita Sarangi was leading with 9973 votes while BJD’s Manmath Kumar Routray was trailing with 8163 votes.
On the other hand, Congress was leading one Lok Sabha seat and four Assembly seats.
