Bhubaneswar, October 15: To manage the growing crowds at Shree Jagannath Temple during the holy month of Karttika, the Shree Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA) has announced new entry and exit regulations, effective from October 18.

According to the revised plan, devotees will be allowed to enter only through Singha Dwar (Lion's Gate) and Paschima Dwar (Western Gate).

Exits will be permitted through three alternative gates, excluding Singha Dwar. However, these rules will not apply to servitors and their families.

The temple administration introduced these changes to streamline the darshan process and manage the surge in devotees and Habisyalis, who visit in large numbers during this auspicious month.

Karttika is a significant time for worshippers, and the 12th-century shrine sees a massive influx of visitors seeking blessings from the deities.
