Chennai, Ap 19: Amidst the commencement of the Lok Sabha Elections 2024, Tamil superstar Ajith Kumar emerged as the first actor from the film industry this year to exercise his voting rights. The first phase of voting kicked off on Friday, April 19, with Tamil Nadu being among the initial states to cast their ballots.
In viral videos circulating online, Ajith was captured at a polling booth in Thiruvanmiyur, actively participating in the democratic process. The actor reportedly arrived at the polling station at 6:40 am, patiently awaiting the commencement of voting at 7 am.
Clad in white attire, Ajith was seen casting his vote with enthusiasm, proudly displaying his inked finger for the cameras. His actions served as a commendable example for his fans, encouraging them to fulfill their civic duty by casting their votes.
As Tamil Nadu embarked on the electoral journey in the first phase of the seven-phase Lok Sabha elections, the spotlight remained on the high-stakes battle among key contenders including the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK), Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), and the All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK), with the results slated for declaration on June 4.
