Bhubaneswar, June 21: The Income Tax Department's crackdown continued for the third straight day on Saturday, with raids being carried out at multiple locations linked to the late former Odisha Health Minister Naba Das.
Sources said the operation, which began on Thursday, initially targeted the residence of Naba Das and has since expanded to several properties across the state and beyond. The searches continued on Friday and intensified on Saturday, with over 120 Income Tax officials deployed across the affected locations.
Raids were conducted at three locations in Jharsuguda, four in Sambalpur, two in Sundargarh, as well as in Bhubaneswar and New Delhi. To ensure smooth conduct of the operation and prevent any law and order issues, CRPF personnel were stationed at several sites.
Officials have not yet disclosed the outcome of the raids, but sources indicate the investigation is ongoing and more details are expected to emerge in the coming days.
