Dubai, Aug 28: Even though fellow English batter Joe Root topped the recent ICC men's Test rankings for batters, but it was England's Harry Brook, who jumped up three places to hold the fourth spot.
Brook gained from his splendid showings against Sri Lanka in the first Test with scores 56 and 32, which helped England take a 1-0 lead against the visitors at Old Trafford.
While Joe Root topped the Test batting chart, New Zealand's Kane Williamson and Daryl Mitchell were at second and third spots respectively.
Mitchell was followed by Australian Steven Smith at 5th spot. The positions from 6th to 8th had three Indians Rohit Sharma, Yashasvi Jaiswal and Virat Kohli.
Pakistan's batting mainstay Babar Azam was at the 9th, while the 10th spot was jointly held by Australian opener Usman Khawaja and Pakistan keeper-batsman Mohammad Rizwan
Mushfiqur Rahim, Bangladesh's hero in their historic Test win against Pakistan, achieved a career-high rating following his 191 to gain seven spots and move to 17th, revealed the latest ICC Rankings for Test batsmen.
