Gold prices soar by Rs 2,600 to set new record of Rs 1.26 lakh per 10g

New Delhi, October 8: Gold prices surged for the third consecutive day, climbing by Rs 2,600 to reach a new all-time high of Rs 1,26,600 per 10 grams in the national capital on Wednesday. This rise mirrors strong global trends and is driven by growing geopolitical uncertainties, especially following the ongoing US government shutdown.

In the past three days, the price of gold has increased by Rs 6,000, as global risk aversion has prompted investors to flock to safer assets.

As reported by the All India Sarafa Association, gold with 99.9% purity closed Rs 700 higher at Rs 1,24,000 per 10 grams on Tuesday, just one day after seeing a significant jump of Rs 2,700 on Monday.
