Gathering essential components

Preparation begins with collecting the necessities. You will need 200 grams of Biscoff biscuits, one cup of milk, one teaspoon of baking powder, and three tablespoons of Biscoff spread. These items work together seamlessly to create a cohesive and deeply flavoured sponge.

Start by crushing the biscuits into fine pieces using a mixer or rolling pin. Achieving a fine texture guarantees a smoother batter later on. Transfer this biscuit powder into a mixing bowl. Slowly incorporate the milk, mixing continuously until the mixture becomes entirely smooth. Finally, blend in the baking powder to ensure the cake rises evenly during the heating process.

Prepare a small cake tin by greasing it or lining it with baking paper. Pour the prepared batter inside and tap the tin gently on the counter to release trapped air bubbles. Place the tin in an oven and bake for 20 to 25 minutes with 180 degree celcius/centigrade. Test the centre with a toothpick; if it emerges clean or with dry crumbs, the sponge is fully cooked. Allow it to cool completely.Warm the spread gently until it reaches a smooth, pourable consistency. Drizzle this melted spread generously over the cooled cake. Give the topping time to set properly before slicing and serving this delightful treat.
