Srinagar, Oct 21: Former Chief Minister and National Conference President Farooq Abdullah today strongly condemned Pakistan for its involvement in terror attacks in Jammu and Kashmir.
He stated that Islamabad must cease these acts of violence if it seeks to establish friendly relations with India.
Abdullah emphasized that meaningful dialogue between New Delhi and Islamabad cannot occur until Pakistan halts the violence in the region.
“I can’t determine what actions India should take; that falls under the purview of the central government. This has been a persistent issue for us for many years, and I’ve witnessed it for three decades. I have repeatedly urged them to stop, but their mindset remains unchanged,” he remarked.
Referring to a recent terror attack at a construction site in Ganderbal district, Abdullah lamented the tragic loss of innocent lives.
“It is a deeply painful incident. Poor laborers come here to earn a living and support their families back home. These perpetrators have taken their lives. Among the victims was a doctor who dedicated himself to serving the community. His loss is equally tragic,” he added.
