Berhampur, May 24: An explosion at a chemical factory in Ganjam district injured six person today.
Sources said, the incident occurred due to a fire mishap involving a chloric acid pipeline connected to the chemical factory. Out of the six injured, the conditions of three are reported to be critical. They were immediately shifted to MKCG Medical College and Hospital.
Being informed, both police and fire brigade personnel mobilized to the scene to douse the fire. Their efforts have led to the successful rescue of other workers who were trapped within the factory premises.
The fire brigade personnel continue to grapple with the blaze, striving to extinguish the flames. The situation remains under control as authorities work tirelessly to ensure the safety of all individuals involved.
