Bhubaneswar, Nov 26: Dharmendra Pradhan, the Union Minister for Education and Skill Development & Entrepreneurship, inaugurated the 'International Seminar on Santha Kavi Bhima Bhoi and the Legacy of Mahima Cult' in Bhubaneswar, Odisha, for a three-day duration starting on Saturday.
Addressing the gathering, Minister Pradhan underscored the profound impact of Santha Balaram Das' Laxmi Puran and the philosophical contributions of Santha Kavi Bhima Bhoi, emphasizing their role in addressing the challenges faced by society's most vulnerable. He highlighted their pivotal role in revitalizing the cultural and literary consciousness of Odia society.
Expressing his personal connection to Mahima Dharma and its philosophy, Minister Pradhan regarded it as a perpetual source of inspiration in his life. He considered it an honor to address esteemed saints, attendees, and scholars from Odisha, Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh, Andhra Pradesh, and West Bengal.
Minister Pradhan asserted that Bhima Bhoi's philosophy holds greater relevance than ever, serving as a guiding principle for society to prioritize the welfare of humanity over individual interests.
The seminar's objective is to delve into the life and contributions of Mahima Gosein, Santha Kavi Bhima Bhoi, and Biswanath Baba, exploring the profound impact of the Mahima Cult on spiritual, social, and cultural aspects.
