Bhubaneswar, June 25: Odia travel blogger Laba Hansda has made a public appearance after a month, addressing the ongoing controversy surrounding Solomi's death in a video uploaded to his own Odia travel blog's Facebook page.
The 7-minute, 31-second video sheds light on the tragic incident and the accusations levied against him.
In the video, Laba explains the events that transpired surrounding Solomi's death, stating that at the time, he was in Vietnam. He further mentioned that after the incident, he fully cooperated with the police during the investigation.
Additionally, he clarified rumors related to his first wife and his marriage. He confirmed that Solomi knew he was married, but he also acknowledged that Solomi was aware of many other aspects of his personal life.
Following the video’s upload, Laba Hansda has remained silent on the issue, despite the ongoing debate sparked by the video.
Worth mentioning, Solomi's family has accused Laba of both mental and physical abuse, holding him accountable for her death.
The Bengaluru police have filed a case against him at the HSR Layout Police Station, but five days have passed without any confirmation of his whereabouts.
Solomi and Laba had a close relationship, often traveling together and even discussing marriage. However, their bond began to fray when Solomi discovered Laba’s involvement with other women. This revelation led to increased tensions, with her family alleging that Solomi endured emotional and physical trauma as a result of his actions.
Just before her tragic death, Solomi is said to have made a call to Laba. Since then, he has not been seen in public, nor has he posted anything on social media, further fueling suspicions about his potential involvement in the incident.
