Cuttack, Mar 13: A test of 1400 swabs in Cuttack revealed no Corona positive on Friday, said Corona Nodal Officer Dr. Umesh Chandra Roy. Few months ago, Corona had peaked high in Cuttack district with alarming death rate. As a result, a number of dedicated Corona hospitals were overcrowded with corona infected patients. As per the recent status, there were as many as seven new positive cases on last Thursday. Out of them four cases were from the city and three from the rural outskirt. Similarly, 14 positive patients are being treated in SCB Medical College and Hospital. 11 of them are in the Intensive Care Units. Whereas, the swap sample collected from 1400 men have tested negative. On the other hand, anti-Covid vaccination is beefed up in the district. As a routine around 3000 doses of Covid vaccines are administered per day. However, it will be increased to 7000 from the next Monday, said Dr. Roy.
