Sundargarh, May 9: Body of a disabled patient who ran away from Koida Health Center while undergoing treatment was recovered on Thursday.
Locals spotted the body lying near a drain and informed police. Koida police, after reaching the spot, seized the body and sent it for autopsy.
According to the information, the deceased, a resident of Nepal, was living in Koida for a long time and was working as a daily laborer for his livelihood.
Three days ago, he became unwell and was swiftly taken to Koida Community Health Centre. However, he allegedly departed from the hospital premises without notifying anyone. Despite the hospital authorities' frantic search efforts, he remained elusive. Tragically, on Thursday, his body was discovered near a drain.
