Zee Secures FIFA Broadcast Rights in India Until 2034

New Delhi, June 1: Zee Entertainment Enterprises has acquired the exclusive broadcast and streaming rights for 39 FIFA events in India from 2026 to 2034, including the FIFA World Cup 2026, FIFA World Cup 2030, and FIFA Women's World Cup 2027.

The landmark agreement marks FIFA’s first partnership with Zee and covers several major tournaments, including FIFA U-17 and U-20 World Cups, FIFA Futsal World Cups for men and women, and the FIFA Intercontinental Cup through 2030.

Coverage will be available on Zee’s newly launched sports channels—Unite8 Sports 1 and 2 in both Hindi and English—as well as on the ZEE5 streaming platform.

Zee CEO Punit Goenka said the company aims to bring world-class football action to Indian viewers, highlighting the sport’s growing popularity across the country. FIFA Chief Business Officer Romy Gai described India as a strategically important market with immense potential driven by a young and passionate fan base.

While financial details of the deal were not disclosed, the acquisition strengthens Zee’s sports portfolio, which already includes cricket, kabaddi, badminton, wrestling, and combat sports.
