VIMSAR Burla stops most of patient services till July 26

Sambalpur, July 19: Authorities of the Veer Surendra Sai Institute of Medical Science and Research (VIMSAR) in Burla has decided to stop most of the patient services for another week. Earlier the medical college has also restricted patient services after several cases of Covid-19 were reported from the hospital. The authorities have decided to close routine OPDs and all routine surgeries till July 26. “Only referral and emergency cases will be admitted in the hospital. Campus main gate will be guarded by police and only emergency patients and staff will be allowed to enter into the campus. Except main entrance, all other entrance gates of the institute will also be closed,” said an official of the medical college. Besides the authorities have also decided to impose penalty on people violating the restrictions and the penalty will be deposited in the Swasthya Bikash Samiti account.
