The deceased persons have been identified as Raju Khemudu, Krishna Khemudu and Kunja Khemudu, all from Kupaguda village under Chitrakonda police limits in Malkangiri.

As per reports, the trio had gone to their brother-in-law Ghenu Hantal's house in Sileru village of Andhra Pradesh to attend a relative’s funeral. According to the plan, the accused invited his wife’s three brothers to his house for dinner after they attended the funeral on Sunday.

He then allegedly attacked all three with a sharp weapon because of an old family dispute. While Raju and Krishna died on the spot, Kunja succumbed to the injuries while undergoing treatment.

Till the last reports came in, the accused has not been arrested yet. Since the village is in a Maoist-affected area, the Andhra Pradesh police have not reached the spot so far.
