Discovering Jatayu earth centre where mythology meets Kerala adventure tourism

Kerala landmark blends epic mythology with extreme outdoor adventure

Kerala offers tourists an extraordinary destination celebrating female honor and legendary heroics at Jatayu Earth Centre. Perched on top of a rocky peak one thousand feet above sea level, this site holds the record for hosting the largest bird sculpture globally. Filmmaker and sculptor Rajiv Anchal spent ten full years designing this tribute to the mythological eagle who fought demon king Ravana to protect Goddess Sita.

Exploring high altitude attractions

Visitors step directly inside the giant structure to find a multi-level audio-visual museum and a six-dimensional theatre. Measuring two hundred feet in length and seventy feet high, the creation dominates the lush green landscape. Guests exploring the broader grounds can visit a sacred Rama Temple which reportedly guards a footprint left by Lord Rama himself. Those seeking high-energy activities can utilize the dedicated outdoor zone equipped with rock climbing, zip-lining, valley crossing, and paintball facilities.
