Deogarh, Sept 12: In a tragic incident, a tusker was found dead at Chiragunikudara village in Kolabasa Panchayat of Riamal block in Odisha’s Deogarh district on Friday.
As per reports, the incident came to light early today morning around 8 AM when some local villagers spotted the lifeless body of the pachyderm and alerted the forest officials.
Upon receiving the news, the Forest Department officials arrived at the site and began investigating the cause of death.
A probe has been launched into the matter to ascertain the exact cause of death, said an official.
