Bhubaneswar: The Employees' State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) Medical College and Hospital, Bhubaneswar, has announced recruitment for 75 vacancies across teaching faculty and Senior Resident positions.

The recruitment will be conducted through walk-in interviews scheduled for November 17 and 18, 2026, under Advertisement No. 02 of 2026. Interested and eligible candidates can appear for the selection process at the venue specified in the official notification.

Vacancy Details

The vacancies are spread across 17 medical departments, including Anaesthesiology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Chest and Pulmonary Medicine, Dermatology, Ophthalmology, General Medicine, Paediatrics, Radiology, General Surgery, Psychiatry, Community Medicine, Anatomy, Physiology, Pharmacology and Forensic Medicine.

Of the total 75 vacancies, Anaesthesiology accounts for the highest number of 12 posts, followed by General Surgery with nine and General Medicine with eight. The remaining positions are distributed across other clinical and non-clinical departments.

Educational Qualification

Candidates possessing MBBS, MD, MS, DNB and other relevant postgraduate qualifications, as prescribed under National Medical Commission (NMC) norms, are eligible to apply, subject to the specific requirements of individual posts.

Walk-in Interview Schedule

The walk-in interview for Professor, Associate Professor and Assistant Professor positions will be held on November 17, while candidates applying for Senior Resident posts will be interviewed on November 18. Reporting time for both days is 9 am.

Age Limit

The upper age limit is 67 years for faculty positions, 45 years for clinical Senior Residents and 50 years for non-clinical and para-clinical Senior Residents, calculated as on October 31, 2026.

Salary and Tenure

The selected candidates will receive a monthly remuneration of Rs 2,60,972 for Professor, Rs 1,67,056 for Associate Professor and Rs 1,43,524 for Assistant Professor and Senior Resident positions, along with admissible allowances.

Appointments will initially be made for one year, with the possibility of extension up to a maximum of three years, depending on performance and institutional requirements.

Selection Process

Selection will involve verification of educational and other relevant documents, followed by an interview. Candidates must carry their application form, educational certificates, mark sheets, medical registration details, experience certificates, category certificates, wherever applicable, and other documents mentioned in the notification.

Application Fee and Registration

Applicants are required to complete the prescribed online registration through the Google Form mentioned in the notification and bring a printed copy of the application along with self-attested supporting documents to the interview.

The application fee is Rs 500 for candidates in the general fee category. SC, ST, female candidates, regular ESIC employees, defence ex-servicemen and persons with disabilities are exempted from payment.
