J&K, May 16: As the Indian forces have intensified vigilance along the borders following the Operation Sindoor,three terrorist benefactors reprortedly associated with LeT arrested in J&K on Friday.
The J&K Police have picked them from the Budgam district.
According to the report, they were plotting to carry out terror activities in the area and attempting to lure locals to joining terrorist outfits.
The terrorists - identified as Muzamil Ahmad, Ishfaq Pandit and Muneer Ahmad - were arrested in Magam.
Huge cache of Arms and ammunition, including a pistol and a hand grenade, were recovered from their possession.
According to the police, the arrested individuals were in close contact with Aabid Qayoom Lone, an active LeT terrorist, who had exfiltrated to Pakistan in 2020 and subsequently joined the outfit.
Lone, a sole supporter of the LeT is currently operating from Pakistan and is involved in radicalising locals, motivating them to join terrorist ranks, and directing them to carry out terror-related activities in the Narbal–Magam area in Budgam district.
He was attempting to radicalise and lure people into terrorism while he was intercepted by the police.
