India might be hot favourites against their Asian neighbours Bangladesh in Test and ODI formats, but there is hard to choose between both the teams in T20 matches.
Though India have more start and experienced players in their line-up, but Bangladesh as in the past can surprise India with their attacking stroke-play, tidy spin bowling and spirited fielding performances.
Agreed India is a bigger force in cricket with more resources, options, revenue and facilities, but Bangladesh are no minnows in the shaortest format of the game. In World Cups, Bangla Tigers enjoy playing giant killers role and often surprise bigger opponents.
So when India take on Bangladesh in their solitary warm-up game in ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2024 on Saturday at the Nassau County International Cricket Stadium, here either team can win.
After hitting the ground in the warm-up fixture, India will play their first group game at the same venue against Ireland on June 5.
Najmul Hossain Shanto’s side will be desperate to put the pieces of a winning plan together, while it’s a vital, sole warm-up hit-out for the Indian team yearning to lift the second T20 World Cup trophy. Bangladesh, who are part of Group D in the T20 World Cup, will begin their campaign against Sri Lanka on June 8 at the Grand Prairie Stadium in Florida, before facing South Africa on June 10 in New York.
