Dhenkanal, May 29: In tragic incidents, two persons reportedly succumbed to sunstroke in Odisha’s Dhenkanal district on Thursday.
The deceased have been identified as Sudhanshu Bhusan Prusti and Kabi Rout, both from the Bhuban area.
Sources said Sudhanshu (52) was coming back to his home after closing his vegetable shop. Meanwhile he collapsed on the way due to intense heat. He was rushed to the hospital where he was declared dead.
Similarly,in another incident, Kabi(30) who is a resident of the Mathakhokasa village under the Bhuban PS fell blackout to sun stroke while he was at home. He was rushed to Bhuban hospital for resuscitation. However, he was declared dead by the attending doctors.
On being informed the Bhuban police have registered two cases and sent the bodies for postmortem.
