Puri, July 1: Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi is scheduled to visit Puri on Tuesday, accompanied by Law Minister Prithviraj Harichandan. The visit comes ahead of the upcoming Bahuda Yatra and Suna Besha rituals of Lord Jagannath.
According to official sources, the Chief Minister and the Law Minister will depart for Puri at 12 PM. As part of their itinerary, they will attend a series of official programs before holding a key meeting with the temple servitors (Sebayats) at 3 PM.
The discussions will focus on ensuring robust security measures and seamless arrangements for the return leg of the Rath Yatra and the Suna Besha, which draws lakhs of devotees each year. The high-level engagement underscores the government’s commitment to the smooth conduct of the world-famous annual festival.
