Srinagar, July 9:Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Thursday said the higher turnout of pilgrims for this year's Amarnath Yatra, compared to the same period last year, reflects growing confidence among devotees and is an encouraging sign for the Union Territory's tourism sector.

During his visit to the Yatra Transit Camp and Yatri Niwas at Pantha Chowk in Srinagar, the Lieutenant Governor reviewed the facilities and arrangements made for pilgrims participating in the annual pilgrimage.

Sinha also instructed officials to take stringent legal action against individuals involved in fraudulent registration activities, stressing the need to ensure a transparent and secure registration process for all devotees.
