Renowned artist creates magnificent sand tribute for Prime Minister
Marking Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 76th birthday, celebrated sand sculptor Sudarsan Pattnaik crafted an impressive 25-foot installation at Puri Beach. Illuminated by exactly 2,500 traditional earthen lamps, this vibrant creation immediately captured widespread attention on Thursday. Odisha’s scenic coastline has long served as a natural canvas for highlighting significant cultural and political milestones.
Carrying the heartfelt message “Diyas of Blessings,” this intricate sculpture reflects deep prayers for the nation's leader. Pattnaik explained that citizens across India are currently lighting lamps in local temples to seek divine grace for their Prime Minister. He added that his dedicated team also offered special prayers to Lord Jagannath, wishing for continued health, strength, and prosperity for the leader.
Leaders celebrate decades of service
Top political figures quickly shared their warm greetings as Narendra Modi turned 76. President Droupadi Murmu praised his extensive track record of governance, noting his successful efforts to blend India's rich cultural heritage with modern development. She emphasized his relentless dedication to public service and long-term nation-building.
Similarly, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu recognized 25 years of exceptional leadership. Naidu reflected on how this long political career—from transforming Gujarat as Chief Minister to guiding the entire country—has significantly accelerated India's overall economic growth trajectory.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah directed attention toward robust national security policies implemented under current leadership. Shah pointed out that strict anti-terrorism measures, surgical strikes, and proactive border management have demonstrated a firm, decisive stance on global platforms. He remarked that securing the nation remains the essential foundation for true economic prosperity.
Meanwhile, Bharatiya Janata Party members are actively commemorating this special occasion through a nationwide initiative called Seva Sankalp Abhiyan. Running from September 17 until October 17, this month-long program focuses entirely on community outreach, grassroots engagement, and various service-oriented activities across the country.
