Bhubaneswar, Feb 21: Puja Priyadarshini Jena, a Class-Xth student from Jajpur's Binjharpur block, was unable to give her annual High School Certificate (HSC) or Matric exams allegedly due to an erroneous in admit card issued by the school authorities.

Sources said that Puja, enrolled at Nandaraja Girl’s High School, had completed the forms for the 2024 Matric exam, which began on Tuesday. However, she did not receive her admit card as expected. On the exam's first day, the headmaster of Singhpur High School handed her an admit card outside the exam center.
To her utter surprise, all the information except her picture was wrong on the admit card. Puja alleged that she was given an admit card that belonged to Laxmipriya Jena.

The admit card had the name of Laxmipriya Jena with Puja’s photo on it. It was duly stamped and signed by the headmaster too.
As a result of the incident, Puja missed her exams, raising suspicions of potential malpractice involving a proxy examinee exploiting the examination system .
