Cuttack, Jan 20: In a first, the Board of Secondary Education (BSE), Odisha has decided to keep a watch on squads engaged to monitor matric examination by Global Positioning System (GPS) tracking.
An organisation will be entrusted the GPS tracking following a tender in a bid to make the examination process more transparent, said a senior official of the BSE.
A special software will be used for the GPS tracking. The software will be connected with the mobile of the squad members. The squad members will be automatically get connected with the GPS tracking after downloading of the App.
It will help in monitoring the movement of squads and the time spent at various examination centres.
Besides, the transportation of question papers will also be tracked in the system.
The BSE will also install artificial intelligence (AI)-powered cameras in examination centres and in strong rooms, where question papers will be stored for better monitoring of class-10th board examination.
